So you'll have homegrown onions to add to stews, soups, chili and other winter recipes. The medium-to-large bulbs are sweet and firm with straw-colored skin and yellowish flesh. They're very uniform in shape and size. Patterson Hybrid Onion is similar to the popular Copra, yet slightly larger with an overall higher yield. It's a long day variety and needs about 13-16 hours of daylight, making it best suited for gardeners in the Northern zones. 104 DAYS
